Our resident gemologist, CEO, lead designer and owner, A. Sharif Begermi, is a graduate of the International Gemological Institute. Having spent 20 years in the United States where he was a diamond wholesaler, he returned to Egypt in 1992 and started Antwerpen Fine Jewelry. Sharif started with a showroom in downtown Cairo, which included an office suite and lab where fine custom jewelry was manufactured. He has since moved the showroom to Maadi and developed his own line, S.Begermi, which features gemstones set in white gold and silver in contemporary designs.

Sharif regularly participates in shows in Basel, Hong Kong, and Las Vegas. His suppliers hail from Antwerp, London, Istanbul, and Ider. His discerning taste is apparent in the quality, diversity and luxury of the collection at Antwerpen Fine Jewelry.
